Charleston, SC

Hello Girls! I hope you are all doing well. I am on the mend and slowly getting over this horrific flu. My energy levels are below normal, but hopefully that will change this week. Debby has taken the lead, but don't think I'm going to let that last for long ;)

Have a wonderful week and don't forget to visit everyones blog and cheer them on!!

Our city for this week is Charleston, SC. This city is beautiful! One of the things I focused on was this package... but if you want to see what else is out there take a look here!

Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina 20 Patriots Point Blvd.

We invite you to enjoy an environmentally friendly vacation experience where everything you do is within walking and boating distance. Have mornings free to explore the natural beauty of historic Charleston or relax by the pool. Spend afternoons on the water with OSA Sailing. Then enjoy a beautiful sunset while relaxing in the hotel pool, and sink your toes into the sand on our beach while sipping a cocktail at the Reel Bar.

- PARK YOUR CAR: Once you have arrived, you will not need it until it is time to return home. -

BOTH MORNINGS: Take the Charleston Water Taxi to historic downtown. You can board on “A” Dock at our Marina. The water taxi drops you at the Maritime Center. The SC Aquarium there has fantastic local habitat exhibits. We will arrange for the Charleston Rickshaw company to provide transportation for you throughout historic downtown.

- BOTH AFTERNOONS: Plug into the wind for your sailing vacation with OSA Sailing. OSA Sailing, located on “A” Dock, has a world class sailing program with keelboats and yachts. Their instructor/skippers will take you sailing on the quiet energy of the wind and the tides. Take advantage of the afternoon onshore breezes and join us onboard from 2:00 – 5:00.

Day I: GET CARRIED AWAY on the magnificent Charleston Harbor on a 36’ yacht. Relax and enjoy the experience; we’ll do the rest. Our certified skippers assure you of smooth sailing.

Day 2: BE PART OF THE CREW. If you think being a passenger is fun, wait until you contribute as a member of the crew. This adventure puts you in the key position of handling lines and tiller of a 36’ yacht. We will show you how. The more you sail, the more fun you will have! -

EVENINGS The evening offers an exclusive dining experience in the hotel restaurant The Grill. Our award winning restaurant gives a healthy nod to local produce and fresh seafood.

- 2 NIGHT STAY AT CHARLESTON HARBOR RESORT Charleston Harbor Resort is an ideal vacation spot located on Charleston Harbor. I have completed 172.75 miles so far. I will complete my personal challenge of 200 miles by the end of May. I do need to catch up on the city challenges such as stairs for Santa Fe, and run as fast as possible for Denver. One day this week I am going to get up early and do a hard run/hike with a huge hill before work.

Hi Tigerlily and alll! I am leaving on vacation tomorrow. Will be near the mountains and the beach, so hope to get some good walking in. But I won't be near a computer for a week! So will sign off for now with 246 miles! Keep up the good walking!
